Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a set of warm up problems.  Next, students jumped back into chapter 3.  Students continued reviewing transformations within the coordinate plane.  Students were learning how to work with transformations of graphs of absolute value functions.  There was lots of teacher led instruction and note-taking by students as Mr. Olsen was helping students key in on the clues that guide students when working with translations of absolute value functions.  Students were assigned some practice problems from the textbook page 160 #5-7, to be due on Thursday in class.

7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with their flashmaster activities.  Students were then reviewing and working with Greatest Common Factors.  Students continued practicing listing factors and using factor trees in order to find the GCF of given integers.  Students were then continued to factoring algebraic expressions.  After some teacher led instruction and several examples, students were assigned the section 3.2 Extension worksheet, to be due on Thursday in class.

Assignments:  The Review HW #18 is due Friday in class.  The section 3.2 extension WS is due Thursday in class.

Science:  Today in science students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students were given an assessment of the process they followed during our classes mock investigation into the possible reasons behind the absences of local middle schools.  Students were asked to recall the seven different pieces of evidence used during our investigation and review how it helped them draw conclusions and find answers to their investigation.  

Assignments: None.
