Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a set of warm up problems, before students reviewed and graded our homework from Wednesday evening.  Next, students reviewed solving multi-step equations with variables on both sides of the equal sign (section 1.3).  Students continued working with absolute value equations.  After some teacher led instruction and several example problems, students were assigned some homework from their textbook, pages 32-33 #20; 21; 23; 25; 31; 33; 35, to be due on Friday in class.  Students can expect a quiz on Friday in class.

7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Do Now and their flashmaster.  Next, students were reviewing Cornell notes, and how to use them.  Next, we reviewed Ancient Number Systems.  Students were then reviewing place value and how to identify the place value of both whole numbers as well as decimals.

Assignments:  None.

Science:  Today in science, students had a special guest speaker.  Dr. Donald Wuebbles, a  physicist/chemist and scientist from the University of Illinois, came in and spoke with our sciences classes about the science behind climate change and the worlds responses and potential impacts from this growing global problem.

Assignments:   Students will be given all of class on Friday to complete their Scientific Summer projects.
