7th Grade Math:  Today in math students began class with the problem of the day, before beginning the review process for the upcoming chapter test.  Students were broken into labelled groups, and then moved around the room completing problems that contained their group label.

8th Grade Math:  Today in math students began class with their flashmasters.  Next, we jumped into chapter 2 and the properties of addition and multiplication.  After some teacher led instruction, and the introduction of the commutative and associative properties of addition and multiplication, and several example problems, students were given six problems to solve for class on Tuesday.

Assignments:   Review Homework #13 is due Wednesday.   The six problems assigned at the end of class today are due first thing on Tuesday.

Science:  Today in science, students worked with their partner for the Bubble Gum Challenge activity.  Students spent time in class going through the survey results from Friday's class, before moving into their hypothesis and identification of their independent, dependent and control variables.  They then moved on to developing a materials list.

Assignments:  Students can continue gathering background research on their testable question they developed in class today.
