7th Grade Math:  Today in math, students began class with the problem of the day, before continued working with chapter 2.  Today students reviewed the properties of addition and multiplication introduced yesterday in class, and graded the homework due today.  Next, students were introduced to section 2 on the distributive property.  After some teacher led instruction, and several example problems, students were assigned homework out of their at home textbooks.  Pages 73-74 # 1-35 (odds).

Assignments:   Review Homework #8 is due Friday.   The homework on pages 73-74 #1-35 (odds only) is due on Thursday in class.

8th Grade Math:  Today in math, students began class with the problem of the day.  Next, students jumped back into chapter 1, and today we started learning about adding integers.  We graded our homework (section 1.4 worksheet) in class, before Mr. Olsen led students through some notes on the rules associated with adding integers with the same signs, and different signs.

Assignments:   Review Homework #8 is due Friday.   The section 1.5 worksheet is due Thursday.

Science:  Today in science, students began class with the do now, before we continued with our  class discussion on what makes a good question, and how it may be testable.  Students picked up with their investigations from class yesterday, and are again analyzing data to formulate some conclusions about the source of the illness and recommendations to the director of the health department they are working with on the next steps the health department should take.

Assignments:  Students should be coming into class with a testable question to share within their table groups.
