7th Grade Math:  Today in math, students began class with the problem of the day, before continuing to  work with chapter 2.  Today students reviewed the properties of addition and multiplication introduced last week in class, and graded the homework due today.  Next, students were introduced to section 3 on simplifying expressions.  After some teacher led instruction, and several example problems, students were assigned homework out of their at home textbooks.  Pages 80-81 # 1-18 (all).

Assignments:   Review Homework #9 is due Wednesday.   The homework on pages 80-81 #1-18(all) is due on Tuesday in class.

8th Grade Math:  Today in math, students began class with the problem of the day.  Next, students jumped back into chapter 1, and today we continued learning about subtracting integers.  We graded the quizzes taken on Friday, before Mr. Olsen led students through some notes on the rules associated with adding integers with the same signs, and different signs.   Students were then guided through notes on subtracting integers.

Assignments:   Review Homework #9 is due Wednesday.

Science:  Today in science, students began class with the do now, before we continued with our  class discussion on what makes a good question, and how it may be testable.  Today, students participated in an activity designed to get students to process all of the steps taken within a scientific investigation, and come up with a testable question(s) based on an initial investigation already performed.  Students filled out a Report Form based on evidence collected from the data sheet.

Assignments:  Students should be coming into class with a completed Report Form from today's activity.
