7th Grade Math:  Today in math students began class with the problem of the day, before continuing to work with chapter 2.  Next, we spent a bit of time reviewing the rules associated with adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing decimals.  In section 2.7, it is all about using the rules we learned about solving equations with the property of equalities, but this time using decimals.  So, after some teacher led instruction and several reminders about following the rules, students were assigned the 2.7 worksheet for homework.

Assignments:   The section 2.7 worksheet is due on Friday in class.

8th Grade Math:  Today in math students began class with the problem of the day.  Next, students took the chapter 1 test.

Assignments:   Review Homework #12 is due Friday.

Science:  Today in science, students worked with their partner for the Bubble Gum Challenge activity.  Students spent time in class generating survey questions that they will pass along to some other classes and get some information to help them design their bubble gum experiment.

Assignments:  Students can continue gathering background research on their testable question they developed in class today.
