7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the problem of the day. Students then jumped back into chapter 10, and today students jumped into solving for the circumference, diameter and/or the radius of a given circle. Students were introduced to the formulas for finding the circumference, and with that information they can find the diameter or the radius.
Assignments: Students are to complete some book work, page 531 # 1-15 on finding the circumference, diameter and radius of circles to be due on Thursday.
8th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the problem of the day. Students then got some computer lab time to work on their SBA prep skills on Study Island. After 30 minutes of lab time, we came back to the classroom and students began some chapter 4 test preparation by completing the chapter 4 review activity in the text book.
Assignments: Students will be taking the chapter 4 test on Thursday of this week.
Science: Today in science, students began class with the Do Now. Students then continued their SBA preparation by getting into groups that included at least one 8th grader and one 7th grader, and together they worked on discussing and solving practice SBA questions, as all 8th graders will be taking the Science SBA on Wednesday morning of this week.
Assignments: None.
FYI: Parents! Starting on Monday (10/22, the first day of the second quarter), teachers in the Aurora house will no longer accept late work from our students. Students will get credit for the work they do, when it is due.
