7th Grade Math:  Today in pre-algebra, students began class with the Problem of the Day.  Next, we jumped into finding the surface area of pyramids and cones.  Students were introduced to the formula for finding the surface area of a pyramid, and most of class was teacher led instruction, including working on a few examples.    

Assignments:   Students should be spending about 15 minutes on the Study Island website before class on Wednesday.   

8th Grade Math:  Today in pre-algebra, students began class with the Problem of the Day.  Next, we jumped back into adding and subtracting like fractions.  After some teacher led instruction, and several example problems, we ran out of class time.         

Assignments:  Students should be spending about 15 minutes on the Study Island website before class on Wednesday.  

Science:  Today in science, students began class with the Do Now.  Students then continued creating rough drafts of all of their family members (in color!).  Students also began making a plan for their final products (due Friday of this week!) and sketching a layout of their design.  

Assignments:   Students should be continuing to work on their drawings of all six family members.
