8th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Do Now. Students then continued to progress through the levels of their assigned Flashmasters. We then began working on and reviewing solving one step equations. After some teacher led instruction, and several examples of solving equations using addition or subtraction and multiplication or division, students were handed a worksheet and asked to complete the front side odds only for class on Tuesday.
Assignments: Review Homework #6 is due on Wednesday in class. The front side of the solving one step equations using multiplication or division worksheet (odds only) is due on Tuesday in class.
7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Do Now. Students then continued reviewing and identifying terms of expressions before simplifying the expressions and solving one step equations using addition and/or subtraction. Next, students began reviewing how to solve two step equations. After some teacher led instruction, and several example problems, students were assigned two homework problems to be due Tuesday in class.
Assignments: Review Homework #6 is due on Wednesday in class.
Science: Today in science, students began class with the Do Now. Students shared and reviewed the different observations and questions we came up with concerning both wet and dry ice. We then began exploring dry ice through several different experiments set up in class. Today students continued where we left off on Friday.
