8th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Do Now. Students then continued to progress through the levels of their assigned Flashmasters. We then began working on reviewing and identifying terms of expressions. The front side of the simplifying expressions worksheet is due on Thursday in class.

7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Do Now. Students then continued reviewing and identifying terms of expressions before simplifying the expressions. After some teacher led instruction, students completed a simplifying expressions worksheet in class, and then were handed a solving one step equations worksheet to be due Thursday in class.

Science: Today in science, students began class with the Do Now. Students were then reminded of the rules of a lab, before we continued working with our observation skills and students participated in an activity where they observed two different substances and listed some similarities and differences between wet ice and dry ice. For the next portion of the activity, students predicted or hypothesized what would happen when we added energy (heat) to both substances, and students observed and wrote about what they saw.
