Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a set of warm up problems. Next, students jumped back into chapter 2. Students were introduced to solving inequalities that involve multiple steps. After some teacher led instruction, and several example problems, students were assigned some problems from the text book, page 77 # 1, 2, 13-16, 22-28 evens, 32, 33, 34, 35, 37 and 41-43, to be due Tuesday in class.
Assignments: Students were assigned some problems from the text book, page 77 # 1, 2, 13-16, 22-28 evens, 32, 33, 34, 35, 37 and 41-43, to be due Tuesday in class.
7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with their flashmaster activities. We then jumped into chapter 2 and began discussing rational numbers. Students were working through how to convert decimals to fractions and how to order a group of fractions and decimals in order from least to greatest. After some teacher led instruction and some examples to help guide students, students were asked to complete a set of five problems where they will be ordering a given list of rational numbers from least to greatest, to be due in class on Tuesday.
Assignments: Students are to be completing the five problems given to them in class or ordering the given rational numbers from least to greatest, to be due Tuesday in class.
Science: Today in science students began class with the Do Now. Students then got into their LEP groups and continued working together to write their group paragraphs for the Taku Watershed Poster project. Students took class time to peer review or peer edit each others work, in order to improve the final products. Once students had peer reviewed another's work, students were given access to a computer and their Google Docs account in order to type their hand written paragraphs.
Assignments: Students need to have they assigned paragraph for the Taku Watershed Poster Project typed up and ready to print for class on Wednesday.
