Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a set of warm up problems. Next, we graded our homework from Monday, and provided students an opportunity to compare their work with the correct answers, as well as ask any clarifying questions before we moved forward. We had an abbreviated class today due to extended MAP testing, so students were assigned the exploration activities for section 1.5 in their practice workbooks, to be due either on Thursday or Friday in class.
Assignments: Students were assigned pages 22 & 23 in their practice workbooks for class on Thursday or Friday.
7th Grade Math: We did not have math class today, as students were MAP testing.
Students won't be having math class again until Friday morning, as the Taku House students are MAP testing on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of this week.
Assignments: Review HW #5 is due Friday in class. The section 1.5 Practice A worksheet is due Friday in class.
Science: Today in science students began class with the Do Now. Students were then introduced to the Local Ecology Project, a year long investigation of a 1 meter square plot of land. Students were placed into groups of four, and the groups went through a democratic process of naming their group and determining a role for each group member.
Assignments: None.
