Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a set of warm up problems.  Next, students jumped into chapter 2.  Students were given about 20 minutes of class time to begin working through the activities in the practice workbook (pages 27 - 30) before we came back together as a class to review some key concepts and to define some vocabulary that will help them better understand inequalities.  Students were then assigned workbook pages 31 and 32, to be due on Thursday in class.

Assignments:  Students were assigned workbook pages 31 and 32, to be due on Thursday in class.

7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with their flashmaster activities.  We then jumped into chapter 2 and began discussing rational numbers.  We engaged in a class discussion of how to identify a rational number as well as how to recognize that fractions are just a division problem.  We spent time practicing converting decimals to fractions and vice versa, before we ran out of class time.

Assignments:  Review HW #8 is due Friday in class.

Science:  Today in science students began class with the Do Now.  We blocked classes in science and social studies today.  Students from Mr. Olsen's homebase had science for the full two hours this afternoon, and we went outside and established their Local Ecology Plots that groups of students will be returning to each month from today until April.  Students will be observing the plot they established in class today over the course of the school year.

Assignments: None.
