8th Grade Math: Students began class with the problem of the day before students moved into section 4.3 and learning to write equivalent fractions. After some teacher led example problems, students were handed a worksheet and given about 30 minutes of class time to complete #1-29 (odds).

Assignments: Review Homework #26 is due Friday. Finish up section 4.3 worksheet #1-29 (odds only) for class on Thursday.

7th Grade Math: Today students began class with their flashmasters before jumping back into chapter 4. Today we introduced section 4.5 and comparing and ordering fractions by finding the least common denominator (LCD). After some teacher led instruction and several teacher led examples, students had two problems to solve as their exit tickets out the door at the end of class.

Assignments: Review Homework #28 is due Friday.

Science: Today in science students took the knowledge they gained during yesterdays powerpoint discussion on cells and cell structure and applied it to a Discovering Cells activity. In this activity, students were comparing the organelles within a cell and the different parts of our school in an analogy form.

Assignments: None.
