8th Grade Math: Students began class with the problem of the day before students jumped back into chapter 4 and today we learned about the rules of exponents. We reviewed multiplying and dividing powers, and introduced the rules for zero and negative exponents. Again, Mr. Olsen explained the concepts and led students through several example problems, before handing out a worksheet for students to practice their skills.
Assignments: Review HW #2 is due Wednesday. Complete the 4.6 worksheet (odds only) for Tuesday. The chapter 4 test will be this FRIDAY!
7th Grade Math: Today students began class by completing their chapter 4 tests.
Assignments: Review HW #2 is due Wednesday.
Science: Today in science students were introduced to the concept of photosynthesis. We began class with a group discussion reviewing plants and the process of photosynthesis, and related process of respiration. Friday and today, students were busy creating diagrams illustrating the above concepts by following some simple directions and adding some creativity to their final designs.
