8th Grade Math: Students began class with the problem of the day before students jumped back into finding LCMs. Today was another day of practicing finding LCMs and LCDs. We spent the majority of the day doing examples and answering questions posed by classmates. Mr. Olsen handed out another worksheet for students to continue practicing their skills with finding the LCM and LCDs.
Assignments: Review Homework #28 is due Friday.
7th Grade Math: Today students began class with their flashmasters before jumping back into chapter 4. Today we began section 4.7 and converting fractions and mixed numbers into decimals. We spent the majority of class doing several examples, and allowing students to ask questions and receive one on one instruction from Mr. Olsen.
Assignments: Review Homework #30 is due Friday.
Science: Today in science students continued our discussion concerning the differences between diffusion, osmosis and active transport. We then finished up watching the film Osmosis Jones. When the film ended, students were handed a directional worksheet to help guide them through the next assignment, which will be to write a 1-2 page summary of the film Osmosis Jones and to answer several questions to help them organize the flow and their thoughts concerning the film.
Assignments: Continue working on writing down their thoughts about the film and build their outline, so when they come to class on Friday they can get right to work on writing their summary paper. Catch up on any missing assignments, as this is the last week of quarter number two!
