Monday November 18, 2019

Algebra I:  Students began math class with the Do Now and the Problem of the Day.  Next, students jumped into chapter 4 and we were reviewing our knowledge of the slope formula and writing equations of functions presented in various ways into slope intercept form.  After some teacher led instruction and several examples, students were assigned some homework from the practice workbook, pages 99-100, to be due on Tuesday in class.

7th Grade Math: Students began math class with the Do Now and a problem of the day.  Next, students were continuing to work with simplifying expressions.  Students reviewed the vocabulary introduced last week and then we practiced identifying the terms, the like terms, the constants, and the coefficients of a given expression, before simplifying that expression. 
Today, students were working with the distributive property and continuing to simplify expressions by completing a review worksheet in class.
 
Assignments:  Review Homework #19 is due on Wednesday in class.

Science:  Students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students were introduced to our next in class project on creating a presentation on an assigned time PERIOD of the planet Earth.  Students were assigned a partner and a time period to research, and groups will spend the week researching and developing a poster product that they can use to present their research to their classmates early next week.  

Assignments: None.
