Algebra I: Students began math class with the Do Now and the Problem of the Day. Next, students jumped back into chapter 4 as we were reviewed our knowledge of point-slope form, and how to use the point-slope formula to write a linear function in slope intercept form. Today students reviewed about how to find if two or more lines are parallel, before being introduced to finding how to lines may be perpendicular. Today, students were continuing to add and subtract linear expressions. After some teacher led instruction and a few examples, students completed a in-class worksheet on adding and subtracting linear expressions.

Science: Students began class with the Do Now. Next, students were introduced to the idea of mindfulness and how to begin to control their brains through meditation and/or finding strategies to help them cope with anxiety that may come with public speaking. Student groups will be sharing their Periods of the Earth research beginning next Monday in class, so today's class period was dedicated to help students find ways to feel comfortable when public speaking.
