8th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Problem of the Day.  Next, students jumped back into chapter 5 and we quickly reviewed how to multiply and divide fractions and mixed numbers.   After we graded the homework from Wednesday evening (Page 249 #11-17 and 21-27 (odds)) students continued working on solving equations with fractions by using the multiplicative inverse.  After some teacher led instruction and several example problems, students were assigned the section 5.6 WS (odds), to be due Friday in class.

Students can expect a quiz on fraction operations Friday in class.
 
Assignments:  Review HW #44 is due Friday in class.  Section 5.6 WS (odds), is due Friday in class. 

7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with their flashmasters.  Next, students began taking the chapter 5 test.  

Assignments:  Review HW #44 is due Friday in class. 

Science: Students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students dissected a squid in class.  Students worked with a partner in explore the internal and external anatomy of a smaller squid.
