Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a set of warm up problems.  Next, students jumped into chapter 3.  We graded our homework from class on Friday, before the class began a discussion on how to determine whether a function is linear or nonlinear.  Students were given the remaining time in class to begin working on the activities in the practice workbook for section 3.2 (workbook pages 64-66 are due Tuesday in class).

Assignments:  Students were assigned workbook pages 64-66, to be due on Tuesday in class.

7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with their flashmaster activities.  We then jumped back into chapter 2 and began discussing rational numbers.  Today students were learning or reviewing the rules for multiplying and dividing integers.  We then took those rules, and incorporated them into working (multiplying and dividing) rational numbers.  After some teacher led instruction and several examples, students were assigned some homework from their textbooks, page 68 # 1-9, 23, 25, 27, 29.  These problems will be due on Tuesday in class.

Assignments:  Review HW #13 is due on Wednesday in class.  Students were assigned some problems from the textbook, page 68 #1-9, 23, 25, 27, 29.  These problems are due Tuesday in class.

Science:  Today in science students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students jumped into the study of inquiry.  Mr. Olsen took some class time to begin talking about how scientists ask questions, and then the process used to find some evidence to support any answers found during an investigation.  Students then participated in a couple activities designed to help them understand how to develop evidence to support observations and hypotheses.

Assignments: None.
