Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a set of warm up problems.  Next, students jumped back into chapter 3.  Students were reviewing transformations within the coordinate plane.  Students continued working with translating and reflecting linear equations on a graph.  There was lots of teacher led instruction and note-taking by students as Mr. Olsen was helping students key in on the clues that guide students when working with translations and/or reflections.  Students were assigned problems #7-10 on page 151 of the textbook, to be due on Thursday in class.

Assignments:  Students were assigned problems #7-10 on page 151 of the textbook, to be due on Thursday in class.

7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with their flashmaster activities.  Students continued working with algebraic expressions today in class.  We continued working with identifying terms, like terms, as well as coefficients and constants.  After some teacher led instruction and several examples of identifying terms and simplifying expressions, students were given class time to work on a simplifying expressions (including expressions using the distributive property) worksheet.  The workbook page 46 will be due Thursday in class.

Assignments:  Review HW #17 is due on Friday in class.  The workbook page 46 is due on Thursday in class.

Science:  Today in science students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students jumped back into their Local Ecology Groups and we went outside to our established plots and took some measurements and filled out a data sheet.
