Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a set of warm up problems.  Next, students jumped back into chapter 2 and today were continuing to learn how to solve absolute value inequalities.  Students were reminded of how to solve absolute value equations and the rules associated with those equations, and how to apply those same rules to solving multiple step absolute value inequalities.  After we went over the homework from Monday evening, students were given class time to begin working on todays homework, the section 2.6 Practice A worksheet, to be due Wednesday in class.

Students can expect the chapter 2 test on Thursday in class.

Assignments:  Students were assigned the section 2.6 Practice A worksheet, to be due Wednesday in class.

7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with their flashmaster activities.  We then jumped back into chapter 2 and began discussing rational numbers.  Students continued working through how to add rational numbers, including fractions and decimals. After some teacher led instruction and several examples, students were asked to complete a worksheet adding and subtracting like fractions on one side and unlike fractions on the other side.  This worksheet is due on Wednesday in class.

Assignments:  Review HW #11 is due on Wednesday in class.  Students were assigned a fraction worksheet to be due Wednesday in class.

Science:  Today in science students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students jumped into their LEP groups and divided up responsibilities within their groups.  Two people were finalizing and typing up their plot location narratives, and the other group members were identifying the plants collected from the plots last week.
