Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a set of warm up problems.  Students then jumped right back into chapter 9.  Students reviewed the process for solving equations, before students  felt they needed more practice solving quadratic equations through graphing by finding the x intercepts, or zeros of the function in standard form.  Students worked through several example problems in class before they were assigned some pages from the workbook for section 9.3, pages 286-289, to be due on Wednesday in class.

Assignments:  Students were assigned some pages from the workbook for section 9.3, pages 286-289, to be due on Wednesday in class.

7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with their flashmaster activities. Next, students were introduced to a project entitled Drawing the Perfect Shape.  Students spent the class period completing a table of various polygons and calculating the sum of the interior angles of each polygon, as well as finding the exact measure of each individual interior angle.

Assignments:   Review Homework #50 is due Wednesday in class.  Students should be coming to class on Wednesday with their Drawing the Perfect Shape worksheet of angle calculations completed.

Science:  Students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students were continuing to learn about and work with punnett squares.  Students spent the class period completing the section 3.2 worksheet on Probability and Genetics, as well as working with some punnett squares related to the characters in the Spongebob Squarepants shows.

Assignments: None.
