Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a set of warm up problems.  Next, students continued with chapter 8 and quadratic functions.  Students   We then jumped back into section 8.3 on functions in the form of f(x) = x² + bx + c.  Students spent class time familiarizing themselves with finding the axis of symmetry and the vertex of a given function.  Next, students were finding maximum and minimum values of functions.  After some teacher led instruction and several example problems, students were assigned some problems from the text book, page 436 #13-17 odds, 21-26 all, 29, 32.  These problems will be due on Wednesday in class.

7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with their flashmaster activities. Next, students were calculating discounts and markups.  Students were given class time to work on and complete the activities in the practice workbook for section 6.6.  Once students worked through workbook pages 132-135, students were assigned workbook page 136 to be due Wednesday in class.

Assignments:   Review HW #45 is due Wednesday in class.   Workbook pages 132-136 are due Wednesday in class.

Science:  Students began class with the Do Now.  We then transitioned back into our Mitosis flipbook activity.  Students spent the class period finalizing their rough drafts, before transferring their images developed in their rough drafts, onto the final draft paper.  The final drafts will be due at the end of class on Wednesday. 

Assignments: Students can be continuing to work on the final drafts of their Mitosis flipbooks.  The assignment is due at the end of class on Wednesday.
