Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a set of warm up problems, before we jumped into chapter 2.  Students reviewed the rules for solving inequalities using addition and/or subtraction.  Students then went over the rules for solving inequalities through multiplication or division.  After some teacher led instruction and a few examples, students were given class time to work through the section 2.3 Practice B worksheet.

The chapter 1 re-test is scheduled for Tuesday for any students who feel the need to improve their chapter 1 test results.

Assignments: Students who are re-testing on chapter 1 should be preparing their original chapter 1 tests corrections to turn in on Tuesday.

7th Grade Math: Students began class with a Do Now and several Flashmaster activities, before students reviewed the activities we did as homework.  Next, students continued subtracting integers.  Students reviewed the rules for subtracting integers (in order to subtract integers, you add the opposite of the second term), before they were given class time to work on the section 1.3 Practice B worksheet.

Assignments: Review HW #7 is due on Wednesday in class.  Students were assigned the section 1.3 practice B worksheet, odds only, to be due on Tuesday in class.

Science:  Students began class with the Do Now. Students then continued our discussion on observations in science.  Today students were learning about systematic observations and variables in the scientific process.  Students copied some key vocabulary and took some notes on how scientists develop questions to test, and the systematic observation process then used to find some answers to a specific question.

Assignments:  None.
