Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a set of warm up problems, before we jumped back into chapter 1.  Today, students continued rewriting formulas and solving for different pieces of a formula in algebric form. After some teacher led instruction and several example problems, students were assigned some problems from the textbook, pages 40 & 41 # 4, 5, 7, 10, 12, 17, 20, and 32.  These problems will be due on Friday in class.

The chapter 1 test is scheduled for Tuesday of next week (9/12).

Assignments: Students were assigned some problems from the textbook, pages 40 & 41 # 4, 5, 7, 10, 12, 17, 20, and 32.  These problems will be due on Friday in class.  The review packet handed out on Tuesday is due on Friday as well.

7th Grade Math: Students began class with a Do Now and several Flashmaster activities, before students reviewed the activities we did as homework.  Next, students began adding integers.  We reviewed the differences between whole numbers and integers and then students were introduced to a song (sung to the tune of Row, Row, Row your boat) that students can use to help them remember the rules for working with positive and negative integers.

Assignments: None.

Science:  Students began class with the Do Now. Students then continued our discussion on observations in science.  Today students were back in the table groups they worked in during Wednesday's class, and groups picked back up observing dry ice and regular ice in a controlled setting.

Assignments:  None.
