Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a set of warm up problems, before we went over the quiz students took in class on Friday.  Many students feel we need some review work on solving equations, so students were handed a four page review packet and given class time to get started working on the problems in class.  Page one of the packet (#1-37) are due on Wednesday in class.

Assignments: Students were assigned the first page (#1-37) of the review packet handed out in class.

7th Grade Math: Students began class with a Do Now and several Flashmaster activities, before students jumped into the chapter 1, section 1 activities from the practice workbook. Students were given class time to begin working on the section 1.1 practice activities, and workbook pages 3-5 are due on Wednesday in class.

Assignments: Review Homework #4 is due on Thursday in class.  Workbook pages 3-5 are due Wednesday in class.

Science:  Students began class with the Do Now. Students then continued our discussion on observations in science.  Today students review the definitions of observation, inference, qualitative and quantitative observations.  Next, students were introduced to the steps of the scientific method.  We then began practicing descriptive writing and making observations using descriptive sentences referencing our five senses.

Assignments:  Students were asked to pick a common object at home and write up a object description of that object using descriptive observations that do not give the object away, yet challenge an observer to name that item.  This assignment is due Wednesday in class.
