In math students began class with a problem of the day before moving right into section 1.7 in the book, multiplying and dividing integers. After some teacher led instruction and examples, students were handed the section 1.7 worksheet and asked to practice their skills.

7th Grade Math: Today students began class with their flashmasters. We then moved right into the next section, 1.7 on finding the perimeter and area of rectangles and squares. After some brief classroom instruction and teacher led examples detailing the use of the formulas for finding each, students were given some time work on some examples with some assistance.

After some teacher led instruction, students were given class time to formulate some conclusions based on the results of their experiments in the Bubble Gum Challenge. Afterwards, students were then given class time to finish working on their posters, which are due first thing in class tomorrow.
