8th Grade Math: Students began class with the problem of the day, before Mr. Olsen handed back the students chapter tests. Students were given 10 minutes to review and correct their errors on the test before jumping back into chapter 2 section 1. After a bit of instruction and teacher led examples, students were handed the section 2.1 worksheet and given about 15 minutes of class time to work on it.

Assignments: Finish section 2.1 worksheet if they did not finish in class. Review Homework #6 is due Wednesday.

7th Grade Math: Today students began class with their flashmasters. The chapter tests were then handed back to students and we took approximately 15 minutes of class time to review and correct their mistakes, before we began chapter 2 on comparing, ordering and rounding decimals.

Assignments: Review Homework #6 is due Wednesday.

Science: Today in science students continued working with their observational skills by participating in the Penny Lab. Students were handed a worksheet and asked to describe and then draw a penny from memory. Once they finished that part of the activity, they turned their worksheet over and were given a penny and a magnifying glass to aide them in performing a systemic observation and drawing the finer details they may have missed through memory.

Assignments: Students worked on the penny lab in class, and if they did not finish in class, that is their homework!
