8th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with a problem of the day before moving right into section 1.6 in the book, substracting integers. After some teacher led instruction and examples, students were handed the section 1.6 worksheet and asked to practice their skills.
Assignments: Review Homework #3 is due Friday morning. Section 1.6 worksheet is due tomorrow morning.
7th Grade Math: Today students began class with their flashmasters. We then moved right into the next section, 1.6 on equations and mental math. After some brief classroom instruction and teacher led examples, students were given some class time to work on their section 1.6 worksheet.
Assignments: Review Homework #4 is due Friday morning. Section 1.5 worksheet (odds only) is also due tomorrow morning (Friday).
Science: Today in science students finished up the structured lab put together by Mr. Olsen. After 30 minutes of class time used by the students to finish up the lab, we shifted gears and began graphing the results from the experiments. After some instruction from Mr. Olsen, students were given the remaining 15 minutes of class time to finish up their graphs, so when they come to class tomorrow, they can begin the poster activity that is the culminating activity for the Bubble Gum Challenge.
