8th Grade Math: Students began class with the problem of the day, before jumping back into chapter 2. After grading section 2.1 as a class, we moved into section 2.2 using the distributive property.

Assignments: Review Homework #6 is due Wednesday.

7th Grade Math: Today students began class with their flashmasters. Students revisited section 2.1 in the book and after some teacher led instruction and examples, students were handed a worksheet to practice their skills.

Assignments: Review Homework #6 is due Wednesday.

Science: Today in science students were introduced to some science vocabulary. Using a notetaking guide provided by Mr. Olsen, students followed along during a power-point presentation and answered important questions and filled in any other information deemed important throughout the presentation. Introducing the definitions for root words, along with prefixes and suffixes used in the field of science, will allow students to improve their reading efficiency throughout the school year.

Assignments: Students need to finish up the notetaking guide handed out in class if they did not finish during class. I have also asked students to bring in five (5) scientific words they curious about into class tomorrow.

  1. Mr. Olsen ,
I sent you an email regarding Dalton but didn't get any response. He did the two math sheets you gave me on Monday, also the sheet about the penny he did. As far as today, I am not sure what he should do. I read he needs to bring in 5 scientific words, are those any words he can think of? Please let me know about his assignments for today, thank you, Terrah L'Allier
