8th Grade Math: Today in math students revisited the rules for using multiplicative inverses when solving equations and inequalities, section 5.7. We spent the first 10 minutes of class on a few examples, before Mr. Olsen handed out the 5.7 worksheet and gave students about 35 minutes of class time to work on the odds with Mr. Olsen present to help when needed.
Assignments: Review HW #10 is due on Wednesday. Finish the odds on the 5.7 worksheet for Wednesday.
7th Grade Math: Today in math students were introduced to the next subject matter, angles. We have jumped forward in the book in order to be sure to cover several key standards the students will be responsible for on the SBA's in early April. Today students reviewed the four different types of angles, acute, obtuse, right and straight, and tomorrow we will begin classifying angles based on definitions and angle measures.
Assignments: Review HW #10 is due Wednesday.
Science: Today in science students took the first 20 minutes of class time to review the quiz answers from yesterday, before we wrapped up the Genetics unit by playing trait Bingo with everyone in class! Tomorrow we will be transitioning into our next unit on Magnetism and Electricity.
Assignments: None.
