8th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the problem of the day. We then transitioned into chapter 7 and began talking about fractions and percents. Mr. Olsen introduced some key vocabulary terms, and led students through several examples of converting fractions to percents and percents to fractions.
Assignments: Review Homework #11 is due on Wednesday.
7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with their flashmasters, before we jumped back into chapter 10 and began working with regular polygons. Students were introduced to quadrilaterals and we had a class discussion about different ways to classify polygons. Mr. Olsen then led students through several example problems.
Assignments: Review HW #12 is due Wednesday.
Science: Today in science students began class with a discussion concerning the lab that was conducted in class yesterday. Students shared their thoughts about what they learned and why it may be important in their lives. Students then did some reading in the textbook about the Magnetic Earth and answered some questions at the end of the reading. The class then discussed the questions as a group.
Assignments: Complete the Magnetic Earth worksheet for Wednesday.
