8th Grade Math:  Today in math students began class with the problem of the day.  Next, students jumped back into chapter four.  We reviewed factors, primes and composites, GCFs and equivalent fractions, before Mr. Olsen introduced multiples.  After students had an understanding of the difference between factors and multiples, students were lead into finding the least common multiples.

Assignments:    Review homework #2 is due on Wednesday.

7th Grade Math:  Today in math students began class by using their flashmasters.  Next, students jumped back into chapter four.  We reviewed greatest common factors, including the two different methods for finding the GCFs, by listing factors and by using prime factorization, before jumping into section 4.3 on equivalent fractions.

Assignments:   Review homework #2 is due on Wednesday.

Science:  Today in science, students continued working with the periodic table.  Today, students began class with a Do Now, leading into table groups discussions to aide students and help prepare them for the upcoming Quiz on the periodic table.

Assignments:     None.

FYI:  Parents!  Starting on Monday (10/31, the first day of the second quarter), teachers in the Aurora house will no longer accept late work from our students.  Students will get credit for the work they do, when it is due.
