8th Grade Math: Today in
math students began class with the problem of the day. Next, students
jumped back into chapter four. We covered least common multiples yesterday and today and reviewed the process for determining the LCM. Rules of exponents were then introduced to students. Both the multiplication and division properties of exponents were presented to students and several examples were worked through.

homework #3 is due on Friday.
7th Grade Math: Today in math students
began class by using their flashmasters. Next, students jumped back
into chapter four. We reviewed equivalent fractions, graded the 4.3 worksheet in class, and students were then introduced to the concept of least common multiples.

Science:
Today in science, students continued working with the periodic table.
Today, students began class with a Do Now, before reviewing oxidation numbers and how to calculate them. Students were then introduced to the concept of ionic bonding.
Assignments: None.
FYI: Parents! Starting on Monday (10/31,
the first day of the second quarter), teachers in the Aurora house will
no longer accept late work from our students. Students will get credit
for the work they do, when it is due.
