8th Grade Math: Today in
math students began class with the problem of the day. Next, students
jumped back into chapter four. We reviewed the rules for dealing with multiplying and dividing exponents as well as zero and negative exponents, before students were given about 35 minutes of class time to complete the 4.6 worksheet.
Assignments: Review
homework #4 is due on Wednesday. Students should be completing the 4.6 worksheet for Wednesday if they did not finish in the class time provided.
7th Grade Math: Today in math students
began class by using their flashmasters. Next, students jumped back
into chapter four. We reviewed LCDs, and completed a few example problems before being given class time to complete the 4.5 worksheet.
Assignments: Review
homework #4 is due on Wednesday. Students should be completing the 4.5 worksheet for Wednesday if they did not finish in the class time provided.
Science:
Today in science, students continued working with the periodic table.
Today, students began class with a Do Now, before being introduced to the next activity, Bonding with a Classmate. Students then spent the rest of class bonding with classmates during this structured activity.
Assignments: None.
FYI: Parents! Starting on Monday (10/31,
the first day of the second quarter), teachers in the Aurora house will
no longer accept late work from our students. Students will get credit
for the work they do, when it is due.
