8th Grade Math: Today in
math students began class with the problem of the day. Next, students
took the chapter 3 test.
Assignments: Review Homework #25 is due on Friday.
7th Grade Math: Today in math students
began class by using their flashmasters. Next, students were introduced to chapter 4 and prime numbers. Mr. Olsen defined what prime and composite numbers are and then the students worked on a coloring worksheet designed to help students identify prime numbers between 1 and 100.
Assignments:
Review Homework #25 is due on Friday.
Science:
Today in science, students completed a Do Now to begin class. Students
then participated in a think pair share activity that introduced the periodic table. Next students read an essay based on the founder of the periodic table and students had to answer a few questions based on their reading.
Assignments: Students should be
answering the questions based on the reading from class if they did not finish in the class time provided.
FYI: Parents! Starting on Monday (10/31,
the first day of the second quarter), teachers in the Aurora house will
no longer accept late work from our students. Students will get credit
for the work they do, when it is due.
