8th Grade Math: Today in
pre-algebra, students began class with the problem of the day. Next,
students evaluated each others "Dream Houses." Students moved around the room, and completed an evaluation sheet by answering several questions based on the results they saw moving around the room.
Assignments: Review Homework #26 is due on Wednesday.
7th Grade Math: Today in math, students began class using their flashmasters. Next, students graded the quizzes we took on Friday. We then transitioned into talking about polygons. Students were handed a worksheet and asked to name several polygons, based on its number of sides, and to measure and calculate the perimeter of each polygon.
Assignments: Review
Homework #26 is due on Wednesday. Students are to be completing the polygon worksheet for class on Tuesday.
Science:
Today in science, students began class with the Do Now. Next, students
got back into their rocket groups and today students completed the
assembly of their engine mount assembly.
Assignments: Students should be working on their Paper Airplane projects on their free time as there will not be too much more class time available to work on it. Friday will be the last day of class time dedicated to the Paper Airplane Project. It will be due on Friday May 25th.
Parents: The Aurora House will be having their end of the year picnic on Tuesday May 29th. I am sending a permission slip home with students TODAY, and am asking for any supplies and donations for the picnic, as well as the signed permission form, returned to Mr. Olsen by Friday MAY 25th!! Mr. Olsen's homebase are in charge of bringing a bag of chips and/or any other snacks students may enjoy. We are asking each student to contribute $1 to help cover the cost of the buses. Thank You!
