8th Grade Math:  Today in pre-algebra, students began class with the problem of the day.  Next, students continued working with isometrics.  Today students were given class time to continue designing and sketching their "dream house."  

Assignments:     Review Homework #24 is due on Wednesday.  

 
7th Grade Math:  Today in math, students began class using their flashmasters.  Next, students were introduced to solving two step equations, which require the use of two inverse operations in order to solve for the variable.  After some teacher led instruction and several group examples, students were assigned problems from the book.  Page 363 # 2-20 evens only.

  

Assignments:  Review Homework #24 is due on Wednesday.  Students were assigned problems from the book on page 363 # 2-20 (evens) for Wednesday.   

Science:  Today in science, students began class with the Do Now.  Next, students got back into their rocket groups and today we made and assembled the fins on their airframes.  

Assignments:     Students should be working on their Paper Airplane projects on their free time as there will not be too much more class time available to work on it. 

FYI:  Parents!  Starting on Monday (10/31, the first day of the second quarter), teachers in the Aurora house will no longer accept late work from our students.  Students will get credit for the work they do, when it is due.
