7th Grade Math:  Today in math students began class with the problem of the day.  7th Graders blocked with Mr. Olsen this morning as all 8th went to the UAS Apprenticeship Fair.  Next,  students spent about 10 minutes of review time, going over their foldables students made to help them memorize their fractions and their decimal and percent equivalents.  We then took the Fraction Finding Mission Test.  We then transitioned into section 7 of chapter 7 and completed the notes and students then spent about 25 minutes of class time completing the section 7 worksheet, that we in turn graded in class.  After we graded the the section 7 worksheet, we jumped into some PI day activities, designed for students to put together the relationship of a sphere's circumference to its diameter.

Assignments:   Students are taking the chapter 7 test tomorrow in class.

8th Grade Math:  8th graders did not have math today, as all 8th graders attended the UAS Apprenticeship Fair.

Assignments:  None.

Science:  Today in science, students began class with the Do Now.  We blocked our afternoon today, thus, Mr. Olsen's class spent two hours with Mr. Olsen in science.  We spent our class period working within our Local Ecology Project groups, organizing and graphing the data collected so far, as well as organizing all of the pictures taken since November.

Assignments:    All students Mitosis Flip books are due Friday in class.

FYI:  Parents!  Starting on Monday (10/22, the first day of the second quarter), teachers in the Aurora house will no longer accept late work from our students.  Students will get credit for the work they do, when it is due.
