7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Problem of the Day.  Next, students jumped back into the textbook, and began by reviewing the rules associated with adding integers.  We then transitioned into subtracting integers.  After some teacher led instruction, and several example problems, students were assigned the section 1.6 worksheet as homework.

Assignments:  The section 1.6 worksheet is due Friday in class.   Review Homework #5 is also due on Friday in class.

8th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with their flashmasters.  Next, we picked back up on our discussion on strategies for solving addition and subtraction problems.  Students were then handed back their quizzes from last Friday, and they made corrections on the problems they missed, before we retook the quiz in order for students to demonstrate their abilities with place value.

Assignments:   Review Homework #5 is due Friday in class.

Science: Today in science students began class with the Do Now.  Next, we reviewed the importance of observation and how it relates to science and scientists.  Students then participated in an observational activity, where they observed to different substances, wet ice vs. dry ice.  Students made observations of each substance as we applied heat to the ice, both the wet ice and the dry ice.

Assignments:  None.
