7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Problem of the Day.  Next, students were introduced (or simply reviewed) the coordinate plane.  Students defined several vocabulary words, and practiced many examples of plotting ordered pairs and identifying points on a coordinate plane by defining the ordered pair.  Students were assigned the section 1.8 worksheet as homework.  The chapter one test will be on Thursday morning in class.

Assignments:  The section 1.8 worksheet is due Wednesday in class.   Review Homework #6 is due on Wednesday in class.   

8th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with their flashmasters.  Next, we jumped back into reviewing multiplication strategies.  After some teacher led instruction and several different example problems, students were assigned a worksheet to practice some of the strategies we discussed.    

Assignments:   The Lesson 3/4 worksheet on multiplication is due Wednesday in class.  Review Homework #6 is due Wednesday in class. 
     
Science: Today in science students began class with the Do Now.  Next, we reviewed the importance of observation and how it relates to science and scientists.  Students then picked back up on the activities from yesterday where they explored dry ice while making observations and providing hypotheses and explantations for the results they were seeing.  

Assignments:  None.
