8th Grade Math:  Today in math students began class with the Do Now.  Students then transitioned back into chapter 4.  Next, students celebrated Pi day (3.14) by reviewing and/or learning about the relationship between the circumference and diameter of any circle or round object.  Students were asked to measure several round objects and calculate the circumference, diameter, and radius of the objects and then crunched some numbers to see if they measured the circumference and diameter accurately in order to find the value of the relationship between the two.  We also ate PIE!

Assignments:  Review HW #44 is due Wednesday in class.

Assignments:  Review HW #44 is due Wednesday in class.  Students were asked to complete a worksheet with several area and circumference problems of different circles for class on Tuesday.

Science:  Today in science, students began class with the Do Now.  Students then transitioned into the unit on physics.  Students spent today's class period reading to learn about Newton's first law of motion, otherwise known as the law of inertia.  Students defined several key vocabulary words, before we read chapter 2 section 1 together in class.

Assignments:  None.
