8th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Do Now. Students then transitioned back into chapter 4. Next, students graded their homework from section 4.5 before we jumped into section 6 on developing linear equations from a given line on a graph. Students reviewed how to find the slope of a given line, and how to find the y intercept in order to develop an equation for that line. Students were given most of the class period to work through the activities for section 4.6 in the workbook before being assigned page 94 of the practice workbook. Workbook page 94 is due Friday in class.
Assignments: Review HW #43 is due Friday in class. Workbook page 94 is due Friday in class.
7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Do Now. Students spent todays class period reviewing how to solve a system of equations has one solution, many solutions or no solution. After a bit of teacher instruction and examples of how to a system of equations via graphing, students were asked to complete the section 5.4 Extension worksheet for class on Friday.
Assignments: Review HW #43 is due Friday in class. Students were asked to complete the section 5.4 Extension worksheet for class on Friday.
Science: Today in science, students began class with the Do Now. Students then transitioned into the unit on physics. Students spent today's class period reading to learn about acceleration and how to calculate it. After reading the section together and practicing several example acceleration problems, students completed the section 1.3 worksheet in class before we graded it together in class.
Assignments: None.
