8th Grade Math:  Today in math students began class with the Do Now.  Students then transitioned back into chapter 4. Students spent todays class period reviewing and practicing how to find the slope of a given graph of a line, as well as how to create tables of x,y values in order to plot the points and graph a linear equation.  Next, students began learning how to describe the equation y = mx + b.  After some teacher led instruction and several examples, students were asked to complete page 83 of the workbook for class on Wednesday.

Assignments:  Review HW #40 is due Wednesday in class. Workbook page 83 is due Wednesday in class.

7th Grade Math:  Today in math students began class with the Do Now.  Students spent todays class period reviewing how to solve systems of equations through graphing and creating/using a table to find x, y coordinates in order to find the point of intersection or the solution for the system of equations.  Next, students worked through a lesson on how they can use substitution in order to solve a system of equations.  After some teacher led instruction and several example problems, students were assigned page 108 of the practice workbook, to be due Wednesday in class.

Assignments:  Review HW #40 is due Wednesday in class.  Students were asked to complete page 108 of the practice workbook for class on Wednesday.

Science:  Today in science, students began class with the Do Now.  Students then transitioned into the unit on physics.  Students were reading to learn about Describing and Measuring Motion.  We read the first five pages of chapter 1 section 1 together as a group.  Students were defining key vocabulary and answering key concept questions as we read aloud.

Assignments:  None.
