8th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Do Now. Students then transitioned back into chapter 4. Next, students graded their homework from section 4.5 before we jumped into section 6 on developing linear equations from a given line on a graph. Students reviewed how to find the slope of a given line, and how to find the y intercept in order to develop an equation for that line. After some teacher led instruction and several example problems, students were assigned page 91 of the practice workbook. Workbook page 91 is due Thursday in class.
Assignments: Review HW #43 is due Friday in class. Workbook page 91 is due Thursday in class.
7th Grade Math: Today in math students began class with the Do Now. Students spent todays class period participating in an activity designed to help them understand how to tell if a system of equations has one solution, many solutions or no solution. After a bit of teacher instruction and examples developed within the activity, students were asked to complete the section 5.4 Practice A worksheet for class on Thursday.
Assignments: Review HW #43 is due Friday in class. Students were asked to complete the section 5.4 Practice A worksheet for class on Thursday.
Science: Today in science, students began class with the Do Now. Students then transitioned into the unit on physics. Students spent today's class period reading to learn about how the plates on the earth move. Students were also introduced to acceleration and how acceleration relates to science.
Assignments: The section 1.2 worksheet on The Earth and its Plates will be due on Thursday in class.
