Assignments: Students were assigned some homework from the practice workbook, pages 84-86, to be due on Friday in class.
7th Grade Math: Students began math class with the Do Now and a problem of the day. Next, students were reviewing their knowledge of adding and subtracting and multiplying and dividing fractions (and mixed numbers) and working with decimals. Today students were continuing to multiply and divide rational numbers. After a bit of teacher led instruction and a few example problems, students were completing the practice workbook, page 40.
Assignments: Review Homework #15 is due on Friday in class.
Science: Today in science, students began class with the Do Now. Students were continuing to drawing their own watershed. Students were logging into google classroom and clicking on an interactive map with layers that show all the watersheds and subwatersheds of the Juneau region. Students were locating their home on the map and then drawing the watershed that includes their home on graph paper including all of the waterways contained in that subwatershed. Students will be transferring their rough drafts from graph paper onto white paper and adding color on their final products.
