Algebra I:  Students began math class with the Do Now and the Problem of the Day.  Today students were reviewed graphing horizontal and vertical lines as well as using intercepts to graph functions.  Students then jumped into section 5 on describing the equation y = mx + b.  After some teacher led instruction and several examples, students were assigned some homework from the text book, pages 141-142 #5-13; 15-21 odds to be due on Wednesday in class.

7th Grade Math: Students began math class with the Do Now and a problem of the day.  Next, students were reviewing their knowledge of adding and subtracting unlike fractions and working with decimals.  Today students were subtracting (and adding) rational numbers.  After a bit of teacher led instruction and a few example problems, students were assigned a worksheet with 810 subtracting rational numbers worksheet, to be due on Wednesday in class.

Assignments:  Review Homework #14 is due on Wednesday in class.  The subtracting rational numbers worksheet assigned in class is due on Wednesday in class.

Science:  Today in science, students began class with the Do Now.  Students were then drawing their own watershed.  Students were logging into google classroom and clicking on an interactive map with layers that show all the watersheds and subwatersheds of the Juneau region.  Students will locate their home on the map and then draw the watershed that includes their home.  

Assignments: The writing prompts on google classroom were due on Tuesday October 22.
