7th Grade Math:  Today in math students began class with the problem of the day.  Next, we moved into probability.  Students graded their 6.7 homework from over the break, before we finished up the notes on probability and odds, and students were given the remaining 15 minutes of class time to complete their homework.

Assignments:   Students were assigned the rest of the section 6.7 worksheet, to be due on Thursday.  The chapter 6 test will be on Monday of next week.

8th Grade Math:  Today in math students began class with their flashmasters.  Next, we jumped back into section 6 of chapter 3.   Today students reviewed the basics of solving multi step inequalities, before we practiced a few problems together.  Students were then assigned the 3.6 worksheet and asked to compete the odds only for Thursday.

Assignments:  Students were assigned the 3.6 worksheet to be due on Thursday (odds only).

Science:  Today in science, students began class with the Do Now.  Students pair shared their Osmosis Jones summaries that were due today, with a classmate, where they evaluated their classmates writing.  Next, students moved onto completing a "How well do I know these vocabulary words" worksheet, that will help them prepare for the upcoming chapter 1 test on Cell structure and their Functions.

Assignments:    Students can be working on and completing the "How well do I know these words" worksheet for class on Thursday.

FYI:  Parents!  Starting on Monday (10/22, the first day of the second quarter), teachers in the Aurora house will no longer accept late work from our students.  Students will get credit for the work they do, when it is due.
