Algebra I: Today in math students began class with a Do Now and a set of warm up problems, before students jumped into chapter 3 and working with functions.  Students then reviewed function notation, and we graded/reviewed the homework from Wednesday evening in order to be sure students understand the concepts before we transitioned into section 3.4 on graphing functions.  Students were assigned page 74 (activity #1) of the practice workbook, to be due Friday in class.

Assignments:  Students were assigned page 74 (activity #1) of the practice workbook, to be due Friday in class.

7th Grade Math: Students began class with a Do Now and several Flashmaster activities, before students transitioned into chapter 2 and rational numbers.  We spent todays class period playing a fraction and decimal game in pairs.  The game is similar to "war" and students picked up on the directions quickly.

Assignments: Review HW #14 is due Friday in class.

Science:  Students began class with the Do Now. Students then continued our discussion on observations in science.  We then transitioned back into their assigned dry ice experiment groups, and students were compiling all of their data, observations and results collected during our experiments from last week, into a detailed group lab report.  Students spent today's class period finishing up the typing of  lab report on Google Docs.

The poster project is due on Tuesday October 17th.

Assignments:  None.
